I came down to attend our buddy's wedding in the "different" town of Des Moines. The wedding was very nice and it was great to hang out with Big Mama and the rest of the gang. The flight from SF was not that fun.. I had to connect in Minneapolis the the entire trip was about 6 hrs each way.

San Francisco
I went straight to the office from the airport and met the express team gang who are fantastic. It was great to meet them in person and see everyone else again. On Tuesday we had a launch party to celebrate Express and of course the night was extended and the usual suspects were out until late. We all got a few gifts from management including a Nintendo DS which I'll save to play on the fly back to OZ but my favorite is this little battery operated hand size video camera called FlipVideo. This is my favorite gadget these days

Los Angeles - Makeup Show
This is a bit off topic but I spent the weekend in LA. This was a last minute trip to the Adobe office so I stopped here to see my mom who was attending the Makeup Show conference. Perfect timing, Monday I head out to San Fran to meet the Express team I have been working with for the past months.
The makeup show was actually very interesting. SInce I grew up around this industry, I was familiar with a lot of the products but I got to meet people who have won an Oscar (which was proudly displayed on the both) and sit on the round table with Dick Smith who has done special effects makeup for so many movies including The Exorcist.
